Police Log

There was an injury accident about 3:am Sunday morning on East Highway 60. The accident is under investigation.

Nobody was hurt in a two vehicle accident late yesterday afternoon on Highway 60 in front of Walmart. The driver at fault was cited for failure to control a vehicle to avoid a collision.

Nobody was hurt in an accident Friday night at the Drift Inn.

Local fire agencies responded to a call about a structure fire at Holiday Hills Mobile Home Park on Saturday. By the time they arrived the fire had been put out with a water hose.

The Bullion Plaza Museum was broken into over the weekend. Two of the four juveniles involved have been caught. Miami Police are investigating the case for similarities to other burglaries.

Yesterday the Gila County Sheriff’s Office arrested 47 year old Jack McConnell of Tonto Basin for domestic violence/disorderlly conduct and criminal damage.

28 year old Aaron Gatewood was arrested on Friday for discharging a firearm in the forest.

49 year old Christopher Kirk of Kingman was arrested at a traffic stop on Thursday for possesion and transportation of marijuana for sale. Kirk’s vehicle contained 42 pounds of marijuana with a street value of $29,000.

Deputies are investigating criminal damage to a vehicle in the area of Coppper Street and an assault in the Ice House Canyon area.

Globe Police arrested 28 year old Drew Morris Saturday night for domestic violence/assault.

20 year old Shannon Draper was arrested at McDonalds for disorderly conduct and underage consumption.

32 year old Arthur Downey was arrested for DUI and driving with a suspended license.

A juvenile was arrested in connection with a theft at a business on Hill Street.

Officers are investigating an assault and criminal damage at the El Rey Motel; a burglary at a residence on North Broad Street; a theft at a business on West highway 60; and a burglary from a vehicle at a residence on Maurel Street.

On Saturday the Department of Public Safety in Tucson arrested 32 year old Daniel Phillips of San Carlos on six failure to comply warrants for a bad check.
