Arizona is about to jump ahead of Indiana in the population rankings. Phoenix Business Journal says Arizona should surpass 6.5 million people by Saturday. About 161,000 people have moved to Arizona in the past year.
The state with the largest population is California, with 38 million people. It is followed by Texas, New York and Florida.
