The Gila County DUI Task Force will be conducting a DUI
enforcement checkpoint on Saturday from 8:pm until 2:am. The location will be
US 70 at the intersection of High Desert
Middle School.
The Gila County DUI Task Force is made up of officers from the Arizona Department of Public
Safety, the Gila County Sheriff’s Office, and the Globe, Miami and San Carlos
Police Departments.
The purpose of the checkpoint is tio identify and remove
intoxicated drivers from the highway.
Roving patrols will also be working throughout the county
over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
