Tonto National Forest officials announce that Forest Road 250 is closed until further
notice. Forest Road 250 is the road that accesses the Davis Wash Recreation
Area at Apache Lake.
Heavy rains over the weekend washed out a section of the
roadway above a steep embankment. It may be several months before repairs are
completed.
