Globe City Council meets tonight
(Monday) at 6:00.
The Council will consider a
Resolution urging the Governor and State Legislature to restore HURF
distribution to cities, towns, counties and state highways; applications for an
Early Literacy Reading Grant and a Library Services Technology Grant; a grant
application to the Arizona Department of Homeland Security to purchase
equipment for the Globe Police Department; and the purchase of a meter reading
system.
Action items include: adopting the
Federal Highway Administration’s Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices;
adopting the City of Phoenix Traffic Barricade Manual with City of Globe
Amendments; and an application to the Arizona Commerce Authority for a grant
that could fund the sewer line extension into the northeast areas of Globe.
