Gila County Sheriff John Armer announces that the new 40 bed
Women’s Jail Dormitory in Globe will be completed and turned over to the
Sheriff’s Office on July 1.
A “Spend the Night in Jail” fundraiser will be held
on Friday, July 13. For $100 a person, participants will be shown the arrest
and booking procedures along with touring the facility. You will then have the
option of spending the night in the new jail, which includes being served the
same food that is given to the inmates.

All funds will be donated to the Gila County Safe Home in
Globe and the Time Out Shelter in Payson.
