4-H Volunteer Recruitment Meeting

Southern Gila County 4-H is having a Volunteer Recruitment meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) from 6 to 8:pm at the Gila County Community Services Building on S. Apache. 

If you would like to help the youth in our community, you are invited to attend. You don’t even have to know anything about 4-H. They’ll provide everything you need.

4-H needs adults to lead clubs not currently available.  They offer a wide range of subjects including the arts, forestry, technology, woodworking and more.

One area that is in immediate need of volunteers is the Archery Club. There are currently  45 students enrolled with only one certified adult.

Globe 4-H Meets Wednesday


Globe 4-H will have a meeting on Wednesday at 6:pm at the Gila County Fairgrounds.

They are offering programs in archery, goat, horse, swine, rabbit,  sheep, poultry, steer and photography.

4-H Canned Food Drive

The Southern Gila County 4-H Community Club is holding a canned food drive through December 10. All donated items will stay in the local area. Help 4-H help those in need by dropping off canned food at Central Arizona Wireless, Hicks Chiropractic and Heritage Healthcare Center.
