Globe Library Craft Time

The Globe Public Library presents Family Holiday Craft Time on Friday from 11:am to 1:30pm.

Bring your children, ages 5 to 7. They’ll be making Christmas Ornaments.

The annual Light Parade in historic downtown Globe begins Saturday at 6:pm.

Christmas Concert This Saturday

The Copper Cities Community Players will present their annual Christmas Concert at 2 and 7:pm on Saturday (December 7). It will be in the historic courtroom theater at the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts.

Tickets are $15 and $25. They sell out quickly, so call 425-0884 soon for information and reservations.

Christmas Cantata at St. Paul's Lutheran Church


St. Paul’s Lutheran Church  presents a Christmas Cantata on Sunday at 4:pm.

The performance is free and open to the public.

Miami 'Small Town Christmas'


The Town of Miami’s annual “Small Town Christmas”  will be tomorrow (Saturday) from 9:am to 1:pm at Miami Veterans Park.

Santa will arrive in a fire truck with gift bags for the kids. There will also be an elves’ cake walk, a hot dog lunch, hot cocoa and Christmas music.

The entire event is free but they ask that you please bring a can of food for the Food Bank.

Christmas Eve Services

Divine Grace Presbyterian Church invites everyone to a Christmas Eve Carols and Candles Service Saturday night at 6:pm. Miami native Valerie De La Torre from California will lead the service.
Hot chocolate and goodies will be served following the informal service which will be held in the Fellowship Hall

A Christmas Eve candlelight service will be held at 7:pm Saturday at River of Life Church.

St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will also have Christmas Eve services

Christmas Caroling Trolley Night in Miami

The Pride in Miami project will announce the “best dressed” commercial building and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd “best dressed” homes at the Christmas Caroling Trolley Night. The event starts at 8:pm Friday at Miami Memorial Park.

Besh Ba Gowah Festival of Lights

The Besh Ba Gowah 24th Annual Festival of Lights will take place this Sunday evening.

Sixteen hundred glowing luminarias will light the walls and walkways starting at dusk.
The evening includes cultural performers from the San Carlos Apache Reservation with flutist Robert Wilson. Local singing groups “The 40 Somethings” and the Diamonds will perform traditional and Spanish Christmas music in the auditorium.

Visitors can warm up around the bonfire at the center of the historic ruins. Hot cider, coffee, tea and cookies will be served.

Entertainmet begins about 5:30 and the Park will close at 9:00.

2nd Annual Christmas Give-Away

The 2nd Annual Christmas Give-Away takes place this Saturday from 9 until 2 at Holy Angels School. Fresh produce, household items, toys, children’s clothing and some adult clothing will be given away.

The Knights of Columbus will be serving free hot dogs and hamburgers while supplies last.

Moose Lodge Hosts 'Santa's Children's Christmas'

The Globe Moose Lodge will host Santa’s Annual Children’s Christmas on Saturday afternoon from 1 until 3 at the Lodge in Claypool.

This year there is an entry fee of one can or nonperishable food item to be donated to the local food banks.

Santa Will Be at Miami's 'Small Town Christmas'

Santa will be at the Small Town Christmas celebration at Miami Memorial Park on Saturday at 9:am. Bring a can of food for the Food Bank and have a picture taken with Santa and his helpers. There will be hot cocoa and free goodies.

Centennial Band Christmas Concert

The new Centennial Band will perform a Christmas concert Saturday at 6:30pm in the High Desert Middle School Auditorium. The band consists of musicians of all ages from both Globe and Miami.

CVCA Film Club Presents 'White Christmas'

The Cobre Valley Center for the Arts Classic Film Club and Hollis Cinema are hosting a special holiday screening of “White Christmas,” with Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye and Rosemary Clooney. It will be Thursday at 6:30pm.

Tickets are available at the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts with a limited number available at the theater prior to showtime.

Ticket proceeds will benefit the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts Elevator Fund.

AAA Provides 'Tipsy Tow' Christmas Eve

AAA Arizona says the auto club is offering its “Tipsy Tow” service again from 6:pm Friday—Christmas Eve—until 6:am Saturday. Drivers, passengers, party hosts, bartenders and restaurant managers may call 1-800-AAA-HELP. Tipsy Tow provides a one way ride for the driver, one passenger and their vehicle at no cost for up to 10 miles.

Kettle Drive Concludes Christmas Eve

The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Drive is down to its last three days. Your pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters will still make a difference.

As of Tuesday the Salvation Army has given Christmas food boxes and toys to 151 local families.
