'Dump the Drugs'

The Copper Basin Coalition is holding a Dump the Drugs event today (Thursday) from 8:am until Noon inside Fry’s.

Prescription drug abuse is on the rise and this is a way to keep your expired and unused prescription drugs from falling into the wrong hands.

The Copper Basin Coalition will have a "Dump the Drugs" event on Thursday, July 19 from 8:am until Noon inside Fry’s.

Copper Basin Coalition Monthly Meeting

The Copper Basin Coalition is having their monthly meeting today (Thursday) from Noon until 1:pm at Calvary Shadows Church.

Refreshments will be served.

An Rx Toolkit Training follows the meeting and everyone is welcome to stay.

'Dump the Drugs' This Saturday

The Copper Basin Coalition along with Globe PD and the DEA’s Office will give you the opportunity to safely dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs at a Dump the Drugs event on Saturday.

It's from 8:am to 1:pm in the Fry’s parking lot.

The Copper Basin Coalition is sponsoring a “Dump the Drugs” event tomorrow (Saturday) in the Fry’s parking lot.

Drop off your unwanted, unused or expired medications from 8:am until Noon.
The event is sponsored in partnership with Fry’s and the Globe Police department.

'Dump the Drugs' on February 4

The Copper Basin Coalition is having another “Dump the Drugs” event on Saturday, February 4. It’s from 8:am until Noon in the Fry’s parking lot.

You can drop off expired and unused prescription and over the counter pills for proper disposal.

Local Students Smoking Tea and Spice

The Copper Basin Coalition is warning parents that local high schools in the Globe-Miami area have reportedly caught students smoking regular tea bags in an attempt to get high. The Coalition advises that students may also be using the kitchen spice nutmeg to get high.

The Copper Basin Coalition is a community organization working to prevent and reduce substance abuse among local youth. For information call 425-9276.

Copper Basin Coalition Meeting

The monthly Copper Basin Coalition meeting is tomorrow (Thursday) from 12 to 1:pm at Calvary Shadows Assembly of God church. Everyone who is concerned about drug use in our community, underage drinking, teen pregnancy and domestic violence due to substance abuse is invited to attend.

Monthly Coalition Meeting Thursday at Noon

Everyone who is concerned about drugs, underage drinking, teen pregnancy and domestic violence due to substance abuse is invited to the monthly Copper Basin Coalition meeting Thursday at Noon.

The meeting will be at the Arizona Youth Partnership Office at 143 S. Broad Street.

Drug Awareness Walk on Saturday

Copper Basin Coalition presents a Drug Awareness Walk on Saturday at 8:am. A Dump the Drugs event will be at Fry’s from 8:am until Noon. The purpose of the Walk is to raise awareness of prescription drug abuse.

The Drug Awareness Walk in Globe will begin at the empty lot next to the Dollar Tree store. The Miami Walk begins at the RE Monks parking lot. The two groups will meet at the Little League fields at US 60 and Live Oak.
