National Letter Carriers Food Drive This Saturday

The National Letter Carriers Food Drive is this Saturday (May 11).

Place your donations in a plastic bag in or near your mailbox on Saturday morning. Letter carriers will pick up your donations while delivering mail.

The food collected stays in our local area to help families and individuals in need.

Salvation Army Food Drive

The Globe Fire Department is conducting a Food Drive from December 1 through December 12. Food is needed for the Christmas Boxes including stuffing mix, canned sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, fruit and vegetables.

Bring your food items to the Globe Fire Station or the Salvation Army Office.

The Salvation Army needs volunteers for the Christmas Kettles. Call Audrey Opitz at 200-9919 for more information.

Tri City Fire District Conducting Food Drive

The Tri City Fire District is conducting a food drive to help the Community Food Bank that was recently vandalized.

Bring non-perishable food items to the Tri City Fire station beginning Monday. They’re located on E. Broadway in Claypool.

Letter Carrier Food Drive May 14

The National Association of Letter Carriers is conducting their 19th annual National Food Drive on Saturday, May 14. Food collected will be distributed to local food banks.

Just place a food donation next to your mailbox. Your Letter Carrier will pick up your donation and deliver it to the food bank.

Scouts Food Drive Successful

The recent Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts Food Drive collected more than 1600 items for the Gila Community Food Bank.

The scouts went door to door and also set up donation tables outside the Safeway stores. Scouts from troops 101, 003, 883, and Packs 003 and 883 participated in the drive. They thank the community for its support.

Scouts Collect Food for Local Food Banks This Saturday

This Saturday local Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts will be collecting food for local food banks. They will be outside grocery stores and also going door to door to collect canned and other non-perishable food items.

The goal of the drive is to help replenish the shelves of food banks after the holidays when many people might not otherwise remember those in need.
