HDMS Parent-Teacher Conferences Thursday

High Desert Middle School is having Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday. Students will be dismissed at 2:10pm.

If your child is in 5^th grade, you need to schedule an appointment with your child’s teacher between 3:30 and 7:pm.

Parents of students in grades 6-8 may visit with teachers anytime between 3:30 and 7:pm on a first-come, first served basis 

If you cannot make these times, you can make other arrangements by calling the High Desert Middle School office.

HDMS Parent-Teacher Conferences October 24

High Desert Middle School will have Parent-Teacher conferences on Thursday, October 24. Students will be dismissed on that day at 2:10pm.

Parents with children in Grade 5 need to schedule an appointment with your child’s teacher between 3:30 and 7:pm. You will receive your child’s report card from the teacher.

Parents of children in Grades 6 through 8 may pick up report cards in the office. You may visit with teachers anytime between 3:30 and 7:pm on a first-come, first serve basis.

If you cannot attend during these times, please call the High Desert Middle School Office to make other arrangements.

HDMS Band Concert and Talent Show

High Desert Middle School’s Spring Band Concert takes place today (Tuesday) at 6:pm in the High Desert Middle School auditorium.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) the school will have its sixth annual Talent Show in the auditorium from 7 to 8:pm.

They are requesting a $3 donation per person, with the proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

High Desert Middle School Book Fair This Week

High Desert Middle School is having a Book Fair this week (March 25-28). 

It's in Room 215 from 7:am to 4:30pm, and until 7:pm on Thursday during parent-teacher conferences.

Fifth grade will schedule their conferences from 3 to 7:pm. Parents will receive report cards from their child’s teacher.

Parents of students in grades 6 through 8 will have conferences  on a first come, first served basis between 3 and 7:pm. Parents can pick up report cards in the office.

Free Flu Vaccine at HDMS

High Desert Middle School and the Gila County Health Department are offering  free flu vaccine to students on Tuesday, September 5, beginning at 9:am.

Only students with completed and signed permission slips will be vaccinated.

HDMS Site Council Meeting

There’s a Site Council Meeting Wednesday at 5:pm in the High Desert Middle School Library. This is a chance for parents to get involved in what’s happening at High Desert Middle School.

HDMS Book Fair

High Desert Middle School is having a book fair tomorrow (Thursday) through next Thursday, March 22. You can add to your home library and support the school by purchasing wish book coupons. These coupons are available for $3, $5 and $7. The coupons are given to the designated teacher to select books for their classroom library.

Book fair hours are from 7:am until 4:pm daily, with extended hours next Thursday (March 22) during parent-teacher conferences.

The book fair is being held in Room 208 at High Desert Middle School. If you have any questions call the school at 425-7002.

Meeting Tuesday for HDMS Parents and Staff

The Globe Unified School District Governing Board is having a School Board Retreat on Tuesday for High Desert Middle School parents and staff. It starts at 5:30pm in the High Desert Middle School auditorium.

The purpose of the meeting is to hear your opinions about the 4-day week.

Tutoring Info at HDMS

A meeting will be held Wednesday night for High Desert Middle School parents who would like to arrange tutoring for their students. The meeting begins at 5:30pm in the High Desert Middle School auditorium.

You will be able to talk to representatives of the companies that provide the tutoring.

Tutoring will be available on Fridays from 8:am until noon.

High Desert Middle School Fall Sports Parents Meeting

There will be a meeting on Monday, August 1 for parents and athletes who plan to participate in fall sports at High Desert Middle School. The meeting will be in the gym at 6:pm.

If your child is interested in playing fall sports and has not yet picked up an athletic packet, packets are available at the school office on Mondays through Thursdays from 7:am until 5:pm. If you have any questions call 402-5900.
