Globe Fire Department Taking Donations for Salvation Army

Globe Fire Department is taking donations of toys and non-perishable food items this week for the Salvation Army.

Drop them off today through Friday during regular business hours.

'Tis the Season for Salvation Army Bell Ringers

Salvation Army Kettle Drive bell ringers in Globe will be collecting money every Friday and Saturday from November 23 until December 22. The money they collect will be used to help families in the area during the holidays and throughout the year.

Salvation Army Day Care Accepting Applications

The Salvation Army Day Care Center in Globe is accepting applications for their preschool & after school programs. The programs are for children ages 3 to 12. Morning and afternoon snacks as well as lunch are provided. 

The State licensed day care is open weekdays from 7:30 am to 5 pm. All employees have First Aid/CPR Training, Food Handler training, and Fingerprint Cards.

Salvation Army Food Drive

The Globe Fire Department is conducting a Food Drive from December 1 through December 12. Food is needed for the Christmas Boxes including stuffing mix, canned sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, fruit and vegetables.

Bring your food items to the Globe Fire Station or the Salvation Army Office.

The firefighters of our community will be “ringing the bells” for the Salvation Army today (Friday) from 10 until 6 at Walmart, Fry’s and both Safeway Stores.

The fire fighters of Globe-Miami will be “ringing the bells” for the Salvation Army Red Kettle Program next Friday, November 25, from 10 until 6. They will be at Walmart, Fry’s and both Safeway stores.

The Salvation Army will begin setting appointments for Christmas assistance starting tomorrow (Tuesday). Call between 9:am and 4:pm tomorrow through Friday to make an appointment.

Make Christmas Assistance Appointments November 1-4

The Salvation Army will begin setting appointments for Christmas assistance on Tuesday, November 1. Appointments may be made by calling 425-4011 from November 1-4. Only 250 applications will be taken on a first come, first served basis.

The Salvation Army Day Care of Globe is taking applications for children between 3 and 12 years of age for the preschool and afternoon programs.

Kettle Drive Concludes Christmas Eve

The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Drive is down to its last three days. Your pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters will still make a difference.

As of Tuesday the Salvation Army has given Christmas food boxes and toys to 151 local families.

Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign

The local Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign begins on November 20 and continues until Christmas Eve. The hours are 10:am until 6:pm. The program helps the Salvation Army provide Christmas food and toys to families in the Globe-Miami-Claypool and San Carlos area.

Salvation Army Christmas kettles will be at both Safeways, Walmart, Fry’s and Basha’s.

As of today (November 11), 130 families have applied for assistance, with more to come. If you’d like to Adopt-a-Family through the Salvation Army, call 425-4011.
