Miami Senior Center Closed Tuesday for Plumbing Repairs

The Miami Senior Center is closed today (Tuesday) while some plumbing is being repaired.

The home bound will receive their meals today but lunch will not be served at the Center.

They hope to reopen on Wednesday.

The Miami Senior Center is offering flu shots on Monday, September 9, from 12:30 until 1:15pm. 

The flu shot is free with a Medicare card.

Valentine's Day Music at Miami Senior Center

Free Summer Lunches for Kids

The Miami Senior Center provides free lunches for kids 18 and under Monday through Friday from 11:45 to 12:45. Lunches are limited, so they are served on a first come first served basis.

Free snacks are also served from 3 to 3:30pm at Miami Memorial Park.

Valentine's Day at Miami Senior Center

The Miami Senior Citizen Center will celebrate Valentine’s Day today (Tuesday) with live music by Jose Sanchez and the Blue Diamonds. It starts at 11:00.

Miami Mayor Rosemary Castaneda will crown the Miami Senior Center King and Queen.

Lunch will be served at Noon.

The Globe-Miami community is invited to attend.

Miami Senior Center Will Celebrate Arizona's Birthday on February 14

February 14 is the 100th anniversary of the state of Arizona. Celebrations will be taking place throughout the state.

On that day the Miami Senior Center will have live music by Jose Sanchez and the Blue Diamond Band. Music will start at 11:am, followed by lunch.

The Center is also bringing back an old tradition of crowning the King and Queen.

Everybody who comes into the Center for lunch between now and February 14 can make nominations by placing your ticket in a jar on the table where you sign in to eat.

The Miami Senior Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:am until 2:pm. Anyone who needs a ride to and from the Center can call 473-4190.

The Town of Miami and the Miami Senior Center invite the Globe-Miami community to the Miami Senior Center on Friday to listen to live music by Jose Sanchez and the Blue Diamond Band.

A hot turkey lunch will be served at 12:00 following the music.

Halloween Pre-Schoolers will be at the Miami Senior Center today (Monday) at 11:am to sing their school songs.

This is an annual event performed by the pre-schoolers from the Miami Bullion Plaza Head Start and Early Head Start school programs.

Lunch will be served at noon following the presentation.
