Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center will have a Blood Drive on Wednesday, September 11 in the MOB Conference Room.

Donations will be accepted from 9:am to 1:pm.

CVRMC Health Fair on Saturday

The Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center Health Fair takes place this Saturday.

This is an opportunity to get health screenings and information from local, regional and state health professionals for glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, hearing and vision, and more.

A 5K “Get Fit Run” starts at 8:am. 

They will also have a craft fair, classic auto show and healthy food demonstrations. Law enforcement, fire departments and air ambulances will provide safety awareness demonstrations and information.

The event takes place tomorrow from 9:am until 1:pm.

CVRMC Auxiliary Scholarships

The Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center Auxiliary is awarding scholarships to qualified 2013 high school graduates in the area.

Applications are available at the Gift Shop or from high school counselors.

The application deadline is Friday  (March 28)

Santa to Visit CVRMC Today

Santa Claus will visit Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center today (Thursday) from 2 to 4:pm in the front lobby.

Everyone is invited to bring their children and grandchildren for a visit with Santa and a treat.

CVRMC Auxiliary Purse Sale on Thursday

The Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center Auxiliary is having a Purse Sale on Thursday (October 11) from 7:am to 4:pm. There will be purses, wallets, sunglasses, jewelry and more.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the hospital and the Auxiliary Scholarship Program.

The event will be held in the Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center Conference Room.

CVRMC Health Fair This Saturday

The annual Health Fair will be held this Saturday at Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center from 9:am to 1:pm.

There will be free health screenings and health information along with a book fair, a craft fair, children’s activities, a salsa and healthy dessert contest, and face painting.

Chuck Wagon and the Wheels will perform from 10:am to 1:pm.

There will also be a Classic Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show. And the “Get Fit” Run starts at 7:am.

The event includes free health screenings, including screenings for cholesterol, blood pressure and diabetes.

There will also be a Classic Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show; Salsa and Healthy Dessert Contest; a Craft Fair; a Book Fair; and children’s activities.

The Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center Auxiliary is sponsoring a Purse Sale tomorrow (Thursday) from 7:am until 4:pm.

Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center is having a free Medicare Educational Seminar on Friday at 9:30am in Conference Room B. Learn about changes in Medicare for 2012.

CVRMC Art and Wine Auction

The Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center Foundation presents an Art and Wine Auction on Thursday. It starts at 6:pm at the Gila County Fairgrounds.

The Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center Auxiliary is sponsoring a Book Fair in conjunction with the Health Fair this Saturday (September 17) from 9:am until 1:pm. It features more than 250 titles in many different categories.

There will be something for everyone at the Health Fair including health screenings, children’s activities, a craft fair, car show, and vendors with information to help you become healthier.

All these events will take place on the Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center campus.

CVRMC Tracking Respiratory Cases During Managed Fires

Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center is tracking respiratory diagnosis through the Emergency Department and have compared this year with last year.

Last year the ER Department diagnosed and treated 31 respiratory cases between August 22 and September 2. During the same period this year the ER Department diagnosed and treated 29 respiratory cases.

The hospital is working with the Gila County Health Department to monitor the respiratory health of the region and is keeping the Globe Ranger District informed of any adverse changes.

CVRMC Organ and Tissue Donor Registration

Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center is hosting an organ and tissue donor registration on Monday. The registration will take place between 8:am and 4:pm in the lobby. It takes less than two minutes to register.

Eight lives can be saved from one organ donor. One organ and tissue donor can save and heal up to 50 lives.

CVRMC Health Fair September 17

The Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center Annual Health Fair will be held Saturday, September 17 from 9:am until 1:pm. It will kick off with a 5K “Get Fit Run.”

Other activities include a Craft Fair, Car Show, Salsa Contest, Pie Baking Contest, free health screenings, children’s activities, contests, raffles and give-aways.
