Scouts Looking for Badge Counselors at Globe Active Adult Center

Biy Scout Grand Canyon Council District Executive Marcus Maxon will be at the Globe Active Adult Center Monday  morning.  at 11:15. He’s looking for Badge Counselors. 

If you have a hobby or past work experience  that you can share -- like photography, wood working or something else that meets the badge requirements—you’re invited to attend.

Scouts to Collect Food for Local Food Banks

Local Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts will be collecting food for the local food banks this Saturday in the Annual Scouting for Food Drive.

Scouts will be outside grocery stores and also going door to door for canned and other non-perishable food items.

The goal of the annual food drive is to replenish the shelves of local food banks after the holidays when many might not otherwise remember those in need.

Scouts Food Drive Successful

The recent Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts Food Drive collected more than 1600 items for the Gila Community Food Bank.

The scouts went door to door and also set up donation tables outside the Safeway stores. Scouts from troops 101, 003, 883, and Packs 003 and 883 participated in the drive. They thank the community for its support.
