Memorial Day Potluck

The American Legion Post and the VFW Post invite the community to a Memorial Day potluck on Monday, May 26 at Veterans Memorial Park in Globe. It starts at 11:am.

VFW Spaghetti Dinner

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Globe will have a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, January 18 from 5 to 7:pm.

The meal is $8 which includes salad, garlic toast, dessert and beverages.

The money raised will help local veterans and veteran programs.

The VFW will also have an American flag retirement ceremony. If you have a flag that is in bad shape, bring it to the post so that they can retire it properly.

Globe VFW and American Legion Veterans Day Ceremony

The Globe VFW Post and the American Legion Post will have their annual Veterans Day ceremony today (Monday) at 11:00 at Veterans Park in Globe.

A lunch will be served following the event at the VFW hall.

VFW Post Invites Veterans to Celebrate with Them This Weekend

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post on South Broad Street invites all veterans and guests to join them in celebrating Veterans weekend.

The post is open Friday at 4:pm, Saturday and Sunday at noon, and Monday at 10:am.

There will be music and a potluck dinner on Saturday at 7:pm. Bring your favorite dish.

A luncheon at noon on Monday will follow a Veterans Day ceremony at  Globe’s Veterans Park.

National Korean War Memorial Ceremony

A national ceremony at the Korean War Memorial in Washington, DC will honor those who served in the Korean War and commemorate the 60^th anniversary of the Armistace that ended hostilities. It will take place on Saturday, July 27.

The national ceremony will be broadcast live at all of the “Pancakes for Patriots” events at VFW posts around the country.

The Globe VFW will host a Veterans Day ceremony on Sunday starting at 11:am at Veterans Memorial Park in Globe.

A barbecue luncheon  will follow the event at noon at the VFW Post on South Broad Street.

The Globe VFW will have a Veterans Day Ceremony on Sunday (November 11) at 11:am. It will be at Veterans Memorial Park.

VFW Adult Halloween Party

The VFW Post in Globe will host its fourth annual adult Halloween Party tomorrow (Saturday) beginning at 4:30pm.

There will be food, drinks, music, a costume contest and lots of items to be raffled off.

Spaghetti Dinner on Friday

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Globe VFW Post will host a spaghetti dinner on Friday from 5 to 7:pm. The meal includes spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, dessert, tea and coffee. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

Memorial Day Ceremony

The American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars are having a Memorial Day ceremony on Monday (May 30) at 11:am. It’s at Veterans Memorial Park at Globe City Hall.

The Women’s Auxillary is hosting a pot luck meal immediately following the ceremony at the American Legion Post.
