Chip Sealing in Central Heights

The Gila County Roads Department will be chip sealing the roads in Central Heights this week. They ask that you make sure that all cars and trailers are removed from the streets between 6:am and 5:pm on the day of the chip sealing in your area.

Chip sealing will take place on:

Tuesday, June 4 in the area of Hunt and Campbell, Monroe Place, Upper Glendale, and McKinney Avenue

Wednesday, June 5 on Eddy Street, Central Avenue, Hill Lane, Glendale Avenue, and Apache Street

Thursday, June 6 on Randall Avenue, Barley Street, Short Avenue, and Main Street.

Russell Road Reconstruction Project

The Gila County Public Works Division announces that its contractor will be paving on the Russell Road Reconstruction Project from Saturday through Tuesday, December 18. Striping will be conducted after the paving is complete,.

Russell Road  is closed from Robert’s  Drive to Hope Lane. Non-local traffic is requested to continue to use the detour along Hospital Drive and Besich Blvd.

Work Begins Wednesday on Russell Road Project

Work begins Wednesday on the Russell Road Reconstruction Project. The work is expected to be completed by January 31.

A portion of Russell Road will be closed from Roberts Drive south to Hope Lane. Non-local traffic is requested to use the detour along Hospital Drive  and Besich Blvd. for access to the landfill and surrounding area.

Work hours will be Monday through Friday from 6:30am until 4:30pm.

Bixby Road Closed Saturday for Construction

The Gila County Public Works Department announces that Mountain States Contracting will finish upgrading the railroad crossing on Bixby Road this Saturday.

A concrete crossing will be installed and Bixby Road will be closed to all traffic between 5:am and 6:pm on Saturday. Residents are urged to use Pinal Creek Road during this time.
