Trick-or-Treating Tonight in Downtown Globe

Trick-or-Treating in downtown Globe begins today (Thursday) at 5:30pm and continues until 7:30 or until the candy runs out.

Halloween fun includes a block party, food,  and a costume contest with finalists announced at 7:00.

The Ghost-hunt tour of the historic jail will be from 7 to 9:pm.

The Historic Globe Main Street Christmas Light Parade begins Saturday, December 8 (correct) at 6:pm in downtown Globe.

Downtown Trick-Or-Treat Event Tonight

The Annual Downtown Trick-Or-Treat Event begins at 5:30 today (Monday). Downtown merchants will line the streets to meet and greet and to pass out treats. Last year the Historic District handed out candy to an estimated 8,000 children. They are expecting even more this year.

The Annual Costume Contest begins at 6:30. Winners will receive a free portriat sitting from FullCircle Photoworks following the contest.

Enter the free raffle and win a prize package from the Globe Historic Main Street Program.

The haunted 1910 Historic Jail “Prison of Terror” will be open from 7 until 11:pm. Entry fee is $5.

'Ghosts of Globe' Walking Tour on Saturday

The 13th Annual Ghosts of Globe Walking Tour begins at 6:30pm Saturday. Tours depart from the Historic 1906 Gila County Courthouse front steps every 15 minutes. The last tour leaves at 8:pm. A $5 donation to the Historic Jail Restoration Fund is requested.

The tour includes a building on the Haunted Registry and the recreated Old Historic Cemetery. An actual “Ghost Hunters” team will answer questions following the tour.

You are also invited to visit the Historic 1910 Sheriff’s Office and Jail which is also on the haunted regstry. It will be set up as the “Prison of Terror” Haunted House.
