Elks Hoop Shoot this Saturday

Globe and Miami kids from 8 to 13 are invited to compete in the Elks National Hoop Shoot Free-Throw Contest hosted by the Pinal Mountain Elks Lodge.

The event starts at 8:am this Saturday (October 12). The contest for 8 and 9 year olds  is at 9:am. Ten and 11 year olds compete at 10:am and 12 and 13 year olds at 11:am.

Elks Flag Day Ceremony

The Pinal Mountain Elks Lodge honors Flag Day on Friday with a ceremony at 4:pm.

Dinner will be served at 5:30pm following the ceremony.

Elks and Rotary Yard Sale

The Pinal Mountain Elks Lodge and the Globe Rotary Club will hold a yard sale this Saturday  from 8:am to 4:pm at the Elks Lodge.

A variety of household items will be for sale, except for clothes.

Elks Hoop Shoot

The Elks National Hoop Shoot will be held  Sunday (December 9) at High Desert Middle School.

The Hoop Shoot is a free throw contest for boys and girls 8 to 13 years of age.

Registration is at 8:30am Sunday and the contest runs from 9:30 until noon.

Elks Policeman and Fireman Appreciation Night on Saturday

Pinal Mountain Elks Lodge is having a Policeman and Fireman Appreciation Night on Saturday. There will be no host cocktails from 6 to 7:pm followed by a roast beef dinner at 7:00. The evening also includes awards and a guest speaker.

Elks Children's Christmas Party

The Pinal Mountain Elks Lodge annual community Children’s Christmas Party is tomorrow (Saturday) from 1:30 until 3:30 at the Lodge on Maple Street across from the Comfort Inn. They’ll have gifts games, prizes, punch and cookies. Santa will arrive on a fire engine at 2:pm.

The Pinal Mountain Elks Lodge Hoop Shoot will be held tomorrow (Saturday) from 9 until noon in the Lee Kornegay gym.

Elks Hold Soccer Shoot for Local Students

The Pinal Mountain Elks Lodge is holding a City Soccer Shoot this Saturday from 8:am until 2:pm at the Globe Community Center. There are four age groups: 7 and under, 8 and 9, 10 and 11, and ages 12 and 13. The first place winners at each level are eligible to advance to the District Shoot to be held in Tempe. All schools and students are encouraged to participate.
