Globe VFW and American Legion Veterans Day Ceremony

The Globe VFW Post and the American Legion Post will have their annual Veterans Day ceremony today (Monday) at 11:00 at Veterans Park in Globe.

A lunch will be served following the event at the VFW hall.


Miami Veterans Day Parade, Ceremony and Cookout

The Town of Miami invites you to their Veterans Day Parade, Ceremony and Cookout today (Monday).

The parade starts at 10:20 am at the Bullion Plaza and will make its way along Sullivan Street to Miami Veterans Memorial Park.

The ceremony starts after the parade at around 11:00 and the hot dog cookout will follow the eceremony.

Veterans Day Activities in Globe

Veterans Day activities in Globe begin at 8:am on Saturday, November 9 with a convoy of citizen downtown to escort the flag. The line of cars, motorcycles and pedestrians will proceed to the Globe Community Center.

Everyone is invited to participate and no entry forms are needed.

A softball tournament at the Community Center will benefit Wounded Warriors.

Veterans Day Events in Miami

There will be a Veterans Day Parade, Ceremony and Cookout in Miami on Veterans Day, November 11.

The parade starts at 10:20am at the Bullion Plaza Museum and Cultural Center. It will move down Sullivan Street to the Miami Veterans Memorial Park. 

Entry forms may be picked up at Miami Town Hall and must be turned in by 5:pm November 8. Trophies will be awarded for the top three entries.

You may drive in the parade, march  or walk, ride a bike, ride a motorcycle and you may enter your pet. Residents from both Globe and Miami are invited to enter the parade.

The Veterans Day Ceremony begins immediately following the parade at about 11:am.

A hot dog cook out will take place right after the ceremony. Donations will be gladly accepted for the cookout.

VFW Veterans Day Ceremony on November 11


The Globe VFW will have a Veterans Day Ceremony on Sunday (November 11) at 11:am. It will be at Veterans Memorial Park.

A barbecue luncheon will follow the event at noon at the VFW post on South Broad Street.

San Carlos Veterans Parade Saturday

The 45th annual San Carlos Veterans Parade begins at 10:am Saturday in downtown San Carlos.

Miami Veterans Day Events

The Miami Veterans Day Parade starts tomorrow morning (Friday) around 10:15. It will be followed by a Ceremony at 11:00 at Veterans Memorial Park on Sullivan Street.

A cookout follows the ceremony with hot dogs, chips, water and soda. There is no charge but donations will be accepted.

The band Jaded will play for two hours following the ceremony

The 45th annual San Carlos Veterans Parade will be held at 10:am on Saturday, November 12 in downtown San Carlos.

Entry forms are available at the Tribal Office, San Carlos Public Library and Bylas Administration.

Miami Veterans Day Activities

The Town of Miami is having a Veterans Day parade, ceremony, cookout and concert on Friday, November 11.

The parade will begin around 10:15am, followed by a ceremony at 11:00. Hot dogs, chips, water and soda will be served at the cookout. There is no charge but donations are welcome. The band Jaded will play for two hours following the ceremony.

Everyone who wants to participate may be in the parade. The only requirement is that the entry must display an American flag. There is no entry fee but you must fill out an entry form and submit it by Wednesday, November 9. Prizes will be awarded for the top three entries.

The Town is making a Miami Veterans Wall. Miami residents and former residents are invited to bring pictures of family members who served in the military. Bring them to Miami Town Hall by Tuesday, November 8.

Veterans who would like to set up a display of military items may do so at no cost.

If you would like to donate food or money for the ceremony, there is a donation jar at Miami Town Hall. One will also be at Miami Memorial Park on Veterans Day.

Miami Veterans Day Events

The Town of Miami Veterans Day Parade starts this morning (Thursday) at 10:15. The parade will go from the Bullion Plaza Museum to Miami Memorial Park. The Veterans Day ceremony starts at 11:00. It will be followed by a concert and cookout in the park.
