A volunteer event to clean up the Lower Salt River bank will take place on Saturday from 8:am until 1:pm.
The Lower Salt River Recreation Area is one of the busiest recreation spots on the Tonto National Forest. Unfortunately many of the vistors leave trash behind that accumulates in the river.
If you would like to help clean up debris floating in the river to help restore its natural beauty, register online, or at the Blue Point Recreation Site at 8:am the morning of the event, March 5. Lunch and beverages will be provided free to volunteers.
